Within the framework of the program «100 millions for renewable energies and energy efficiency », the Council of the State of Vaud granted a financial support 1.65 million Swiss franc over 3.5 years for Enairys and his academic partners of the Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL) and the University of Applied Engineering and Management Vaud (HEIG-VD) located in Yverdon-les-Bains.

This important financial support will allow Enairys and his partners to make a quantum leap in the hydro-pneumatic energy storage and firstly to realize, further to the on-going Mont-Soleil pilot project, a second commercial pilot-plant with 25kW power rating intended for ecological management and storage of photovoltaic energy. This new pilot-plant will be realised in partnership with the “Services Industriels de Lausanne (SiL)” the local power utility, who will prepare and provide for about ten years a pilot site equipped with photovoltaic panels.
The second phase of the project will be dedicated to the scaling up of HyPES technology. The objective of this phase is to develop by the end of the project a hydro-pneumatic energy storage and management system (HyPES) with a power rating of 250kW, in order to address the huge market of medium and high power applications.
